Aretha is one of Bryn's smaller puppies.  She's mostly black, but has some pretty white markings on her underside and paws.  At four weeks old, she weighed between two and two and a half pounds, so she's likely to stay on the smaller side - best guess! Aretha looks like she will have short hair.

All of the puppies in this litter are a real mystery as to their breed makeup.  Mama Bryn is a medium-sized wiry-coated terrier mix (about 35 lbs) but none of the puppies look much like her.  Therefore, we have no idea what they will look like when they are adults.  Guessing from their weights now, we THINK they are going to be small to medium sized dogs, but again, there is no way to know for sure so this is only a guess.  

Puppies from this litter are expected to be old enough to leave on or about Saturday, September 17, as long as our vet and the puppies' foster mom feels they are ready when the time comes.  

Please remember that puppies this young will need you now more than ever because this is the age when they begin to understand structure and routine.  Besides the fact that their bodies are not developed enough to “hold it” when they are this young, leaving them crated or unattended for hours on end will not offer them the love, attention, socialization, exercise, or training that they will need to become the adult dogs you want them to be for their lifetime - and your lifetime too.
