Meet citrus! Citrus came to the rescue after experiencing some very trying times, that’s why he has scars on his face. We believe all that hair should grow back soon enough. Some time in mid June, Citrus went missing from his home. He was originally an indoor guy but wasn’t neutered and would always want to go outside. He’s only 1.5 years old, so he was in his prime tom cat years. One day after being let out he didn’t come back though, and that lasted for almost 3 weeks. On the day he was found, his previous owner was looking for him like she did every morning when she heard crying coming from the sewer. She knew it was Citrus. She found him in there all beat up and covered in blood. It was evident something had gotten to him. After that day he was picked up by the rescue. He’s been fully vetted and is just in the process of growing back his hair where he was wounded. Citrus is now looking forward to a new, better, and exclusively indoor life.
Citrus is an amazing young man. So friendly, so social, and so talkative. He can really carry a conversation! Citrus loves to walk around and meow his little head off with you. He also really loves catnip and cat scratchers- even better when combined! If you’re looking for a buddy to snuggle up to you and keep you company, he’s your guy. Citrus would also make a really great family cat. He’s been so socialized and so exposed to many things that not much phases him. So far Citrus has shown us that he is also dog and cat friendly. As always though, proper introductions need to be done to ensure a good relationship ensues between the two animals!
