UPDATE: Austen has joined the Cell Dog Program. During this program he will be trained by selected inmates who will be overseen by a professional dog trainer. He will attend classes to learn more about house training, basic obedience and some fun tricks too! Austen can be visited and even adopted while he is in the Cell Dog program. Since enrolling in this special program over a month ago, he has mastered all of the basic skills (plus a few more) and is now ready for a home. Austen can heel on either the left or right side. He can sit, go down, and a few other tricks. Austen loves treats and can get very excited for them while training so it's best not to use them. Austen is kennel trained. It is important to know that during the heat of summer Austen does not like to be outside very long due to his thick and long fur. He loves to lay on the cool floor with the fan blowing on him. Enjoy Austen - he is an awesome dog!
Austen is a male Brittany Spaniel mix and about 2 years old. He would make a good family dog as he likes other dogs, and loves people. Austen is quite active and happy-go-lucky guy.
