Louie and his brother Bob were recently rescued from a high-kill shelter.  Louie is a sweet boy who adores romping around outside.  His favorite activities are running, playing, grabbing a stick and then laying down to play with it.  He has quite the beagle nose and often can be found in the backyard with his nose to the ground, trying to sniff out a squirrel or a chippy, though he has yet to find one.  He enjoys playing with other dogs and he is learning how to play gently.  He also is a good boy who comes when he is called.

 

Louie is coming along nicely with his crate-training.  His foster mom is also working on his eating manners as he tends to gobble his food up very quickly - probably because he shared a common food bowl with other dogs before so he learned to eat fast or someone else will get your share.  He is still practically a baby as he is only about 8 months old.
