Poor Magda was brought into the pound in pitiful condition.  We heard about her plight and stepped in to help.  A trip to the vet confirmed that she has bad case of mites and possibly scabies, so she is back at the pound where they will be able to begin her treatment while keeping her quarantined for a short time until we are sure she is not contagious.  Once she is given the all clear to be around other dogs, we will bring her here to the rescue and find her a foster home where she can continue her recovery in more comforatable suroundings.  Magda is a small beagle - only about 15 lbs and we guess her to be about 5 or 6 years old.  She is a sweetheart and has been a real trooper throughout her ordeal.  Despite her discomfort and everything she has endured, she still wags her tail at the least bit of attention from you.  We hope to find her a new forever home by the time she is fully healed - she shouldmake a full recovery and be a beautiful girl once again before too long.
