Hi,Annie here. I am a 3 year old red tick coonhound of apx 35 pounds, a little small for my breed. I was at the pound for a long time praying for a taxi out of there. It finally came in the form of the rescue. I am a coonhound, but actaully I am a clown hound. We make wonderful pets and fit right in with family life, because we are lovers, not fighters. We know of a few who are working as Therapy Dogs and in Search and Rescue. Coonhounds are intelligent, entertaining and amusing. We have a sense of humor, too. We are very social and easily adapt to other pets in your family and do great with children. Coonhounds do enjoy a daily walk, but are also very happy to sleep the day away on the couch.See, we want the best of both worlds.Outside activities are more fun with a canine companion so check me out. Coonies and Beagles ,due to their gentle nature make great family pets!
