Hi, my foster mom named me Beau because I act like a romantic boyfriend-I always want to kiss you and be in your lap! I don't realize I weigh 85 pounds. I really love everyone! I am a 5 year old Labradoodle, but not the kind everyone wants- my fur is wiry and I shed. Unfortunately, I was found near a known puppymill who likely bred me because of public demand for my breed. When I was 6 months old and still didn't have a home, I was shot and turned loose to die. Luckily I was found, and nursed back
to health. I am healthy as an ox, except for one thing: the doctor thinks that the trauma of being shot caused my pituitary gland to stop producing a hormone that tells my body to retain water. I am currently
on a once a day medication which is just one drop in my eye, and I take it extremely well. It keeps me from having to drink a lot and therefore urinate a lot. It costs my foster mom about $50 a month, and I'm a perfectly normal dog now. What I really want is someone who can take me for a walk everyday, and give me all the love a needy boyfriend wants! I do act out a little around other dogs when I'm on a leash, but my foster mom thinks it's because I don't get out much, and it's easy to manage with my gentle leader on. I do very well with all the other dogs in my foster mom's pack, and I know all of my commands/am crate and house trained. Can you take me for long walks on the beach?
