About Manfred

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Exercise Needs: Low
  • Grooming Needs: Low

Manfred is not with Rose's Rescue.  We will not be handling his adoption or any inquiries for him.  He is currently available from the Stark County Dog Warden's office in Canton.  This shelter is usually overcrowded and when they are completely full, dogs must be euthanized to accomodate new dogs coming in.  Rose's Rescue is hoping to help their plight by posting some of their volunteer's favorite dogs on our site.  If interested, please contact or visit the Stark County Dog Warden's office or visit their website for hours, address, and more information: http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/OH175.html

Here is what the volunteers have to say about Manfred:

Picked up as a stray on 1/20. Available on 1/24. Neutered. Very sad when senior dogs end up in the pound, it's so bewildering for them. Manfred is a super dog, he walks so slowly, but doesn't seem to be in pain. Probably has some arthritis in his hind legs, a daily dose of anti-inflammatory would really help him. We were so hoping the owners would come for him, but doesn't look like that's going to happen. This dog does not deserve to end his years at the pound...alone. He is beautiful, in looks and personality. Please, help us find a "retirement" home for Manfred. He will not last long at the pound, on cold damp, cement floors. And with very few cages open, he will be at high risk for being PTS, because of his age.

We love Manfred, you will too!

$86.00 fee includes license, 5 way shot if able and available. $50.00 goes to the cost of spay/neuter and rabies. . We take cash only, no checks, or credit cards. Because most of our dogs in the kennel are strays, we do not have any knowledge about each individual dog's background, so we cannot make any health claims or behavior assurances concerning our dogs. Stray dogs are held 72 hours before being placed for adoption. 501c3 Rescue Organizations may pull a dog at a reduced rate, but must provide proof of non-profit status.
