Hi, My name is Schatzi and I am sad. My elderly owner died and there was no one to take care of me so I have come to the rescue. I am supposed to be an Affenpinscher although I must be a mix as I am much too big. Maybe cocker mix? I am about 7 years old. I am a little shy and they say I warm up to women much better than men. With men I am extremely cautious and it will take time and patience for me to learn to trust them.  I am house and crate trained, neutered and up to date on my vaccines. I am in a foster home now with other dogs and cats too and doing fine with them all. In the dog book it says that the life span for my breed is 12 - 15 years and I am only 7 so I should have many more good years left.
