UPDATE: Maggie has recently joined the cell dog program.  During this program she will be trained by selected inmates who will be overseen by a professional dog trainer. She will attend classes to learn more about house training, basic obedience and some fun tricks too! Maggie can be visited and even adopted while she is in the Cell Dog program.

Hi, My name is Maggie and I was found running as a stray. Some kind people picked me up and brought me to the rescue when my owners could not be found. Unfortunately my previous owners did not keep me on heartworm preventative so I was found to be heartworm positive. The rescue has gotten me treated and after a few weeks of being calm and taking it easy I should be as good as new. I am about 18 months old and up to date on my vaccines. I will be spayed after my heartworm treatment is completed. I am a high energy girl who gets along with all people but may be too much for small children. I also am good with other dogs but they don't know how I feel about cats yet. If you are interested in a good looking girl like me please fill out the application below.
