Hi there, my name is Elwood. I am a low maintenance, easy going coonhound of apx 7 years and apx 70 pounds. I was lost and ended up in the dog pound. I don't like 4 wheelers, because that is the last I saw of my person driving away. No one came to claim me, so I am now with the rescue looking for a new home.

I am a quick learner and am getting this down.I am fine with dogs, but no way to cats. If cats are neighbors, I will drive you nuts trying to get them. I am not crazy about toddlers either. They can visit, but don't live with me please. I know the dog door, out into the fenced yard. A couple runs around the yard and I am happy to come in and lay down.However, if I smell something I will still go for the hunt.A large fenced yard will be necessary, to take a few laps in to get my exercise in. Stretching my long legs is important. I love the bed more than anything here. I am a mellow fellow and a smart boy. I am partial to men, but like women too.I will wait patiently for you all day, while you are at work. I am at that porch sitting point in my life, with you in a rocker. Can you picture it? Are you looking for a companion? Could it be me? How can you not love that face? I promise to love you for the rest of my life.We can swap stories.
