My name is Itzy and here is my story. My pet parent passed away and all of a sudden I was in a kennel at the dog pound. I was very frightened and didn't want anyone to co me near me. Once I knew they were ok, i was alright with the workers.My foster mom came to the pound and took me out of there, but I sure gave her a hard time about it! Once I got into a home and saw the other little dogs it didn't take me long to figure out I was safe. I am a happy, bouncy 10 year old  Dachshund and possibly Chihuahua mix. I am a  12 pound low rider with soft silky hair(check out my pictures taken on my spa day)I like other dogs and seem to be indifferent to the barn cat who lives here. I am very wary of new people and new situations.I do not need a social home with people in and out. A quiet home where someone won't leave me alone too long and maybe has another dog to keep me company would make me so happy.If you are a patient quiet person, I will bond with you and quickly become your shadow. No children for me please. I am having a dental procedure on September 26th and then I will be ready for my new home.
