      I know it will sound crazy, but we were lucky the Dog Warden picked me and Ernie up. The person that owned us neglected and heavy handed us.  Would they be a human or an animal? The animals we know, are nicer than that. They will get away with what they did, but we will keep the scars. We are hoping for an experienced person with puppy mill type dogs, to help teach us to trust and love again. WE ARE NOT DOGS FOR THE AVERAGE HOME, but will take  a lot of work to come around. We were happy pups at one time and did not know what was in store for us. Our owner took the joy out of our lives and replaced it with fear ,from their abuse and neglect. They may have used us for breeding and that was it. No love given to us. All we can say to back yard breeders that are heartless is - get  a job! I am what they call a Standard poodle, of apx 2 years old and 50 pounds. WE ARE NOT A DOG FOR THE AVERAGE HOME. We are good with dogs and we have met children, but we will be a work in progress to get past our fears. Amazingly, we are totally non aggressive for what we  have been through. A little light is coming on, now that we are safe here. Ernie and me play a little and we are feeling a lot better! We will need a fenced yard, because we are flight risks. It will take time for us to trust. We are not used to being walked on a leash.We will be adopted together. The expense of grooming us at will be apx $140(for both) every 2 months.  This will need to fit in your budget. We will need worked with on house training and we are not crate trained. We will need a laundry room or area where we can stay when you are gone, that won't matter if it gets messed up.  If you could be that special person and home, please let the rescue know.
