Hi, Duffy here. Let me update you on my quest to find a home of my own. I found myself alone and at the pound and my prospects looked pretty dim. I had fleas and a skin and ear infection due to allergies. Foster mom came and took me out of there to the vet and I was soon feeling so much better and was even adopted. I liked my new mom but she had visitors and I did not want them around and I let them know it so back to foster mom I went. I have been with her since June and she has been trying to find the solution to my allergy problems. We have tried everything from Apoquel to a prescription diet and the only thing that works is prednisone. I am on a low dose of it daily and feel so much better. It is a very inexpensive drug but does have some side effects. I will need a quiet home with someone who is able to contain me or introduce me properly to strangers. If you have a busy social life or like to go to the dog park I am not the dog for you. I get along fine with the dogs in my foster home but I do not like strange dogs although I do fine when carefully introduced to them. Foster mom says I have to in order to be part of her pack as she frequently has other foster dogs that come to stay. Children and cats are definitely not in my future. I am affectionate and well behaved in my foster home. Crate trained and up to date on all my vaccinations. I have so many good qualities but I have to be honest with you about my peculiarities and the fact that I am high maintenance. I am a very handsome #23 fellow and have recently been groomed and need to be groomed about every 8 weeks. Foster mom says my day will come and in the meantime she will love me and take care of me. So, my journey continues. If interested, you can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here: adoption application
