Meet Skeeter! Skeeter has had a very rough life. He’s estimated to be about 1-2 years old. He’s spent all his life outdoors it seems. When we first saw Skeet we didn’t know if he was going to live. He had been attacked by what we believe was a dog. A very nice lady who fed him for some time noticed he was injured and kept trying to get him to come in her house, but he wasn’t very trusting. One day he was so bad off he just gave up. He surrendered himself to her and she got in contact with us right away. We immediately picked him up and got him to the vet. He was put on multiple antibiotics and had surgery to repair his head and neck wounds. Since then, Skeeter’s health has been very good and he’s made a full recovery. 

Since Skeeter was an outside boy for so long, he’s cautious of people at first. He may be a little more reserved or take his time to get to know you, but once he does you are his best friend. And I mean best friend. He will follow you around everywhere just to be with you. He doesn’t care what he’s doing as long as he’s loved and getting pets. Outside of being a major lover boy, Skeeter is very friendly. He keeps a very calm and cool demeanor. Sometimes when you pull away from petting him though, he tries to pull you back for more. To pass time Skeeter likes to look out of windows, and lay in comfy beds and make biscuits. He also love love loves cat nip. He loves when you sprinkle some on his scratcher and then he digs his claws in! You can get this guy to do anything for a can of food, he’s very food motivated. As soon as he sees or hears it he’s there to get it. He does wait very patiently for it though. He’ll sit beside you and watch you prepare his dinner.
