Hi! My name’s Gunk (because of my bad eye). I’m estimated to be 4.5 months old (as of 8/30/23). I came to the rescue in really bad shape with my siblings, and we unfortunately lost one. We were only 6 weeks old and had terrible upper respiratory infections that left us malnourished, and extremely lethargic. After about 5 weeks of medication, force feeding, and love we were all better! Now, we’re all thriving and love to play and love our people. My demeanor at first can be shy, or uncertain. After time (usually brief) I become very loving and playful.  I love to follow you around the room and watch everything you do! Wherever you go, I’m sure to follow! I’d say you’re welcome to pick me up and give me a snuggle, but I get nervous sometimes when I’m in new people’s arms. I’m very comfortable with my foster mom, so I’m sure I would warm up to you in time. Once I’m comfortable, I’m sure to give you a few good purrs. 

I’m certain to be your new best friend if you give me the chance. Me and my siblings are very social cats and love to spend our time with you! As soon as you walk in the room we come to greet you and cannot wait for you to pet us. Our foster mom believes we are some of the most social outgoing kittens she’s ever had and we’re proud of that!

While I love attention and that’s definitely my number one priority, I also love food! My favorite times of the day are morning and night when I get my breakfast and dinner. I spend the rest of my time relaxing, or playing with my siblings. Since we are kittens, we always love to have a playmate! Kittens tend to do best when adopted in pairs or when their family at home have plenty of time to dedicate to them. 

If you’re wondering what happened to my eye, it was damaged by the conjunctivitis I had when I was a kitten. My third eyelid ended up with a tear in it and the conjunctiva needed surgery (which I received on 8/28 and it’s now healing).
