Updated 12/28: Meet Mac (tuxedo) and Cheese (maine coon). These sweet sisters’ fate led them to Rose’s Rescue where they’ve been basking in their comfort of being indoor cats. They came to us at roughly 3 months from the outside with no social skills. We’ve been working with them since and they've made tremendous progress.

These adorable sisters have turned into pretty standard housecats. They scamper and scurry around the house, after each other down the halls and up the cat trees. They used to take refuge in hidey holes and dart away with daily sounds, but now they lounge around comfortably in cat beds and perches watching the day go by. They love their wand toys and appreciate a good scratcher post for their claws. We've not yet got them comfortable with nail trims, but they can always find an appropriate place to scratch.

And now we're happy to say they love pets and scracthes too! Cheese loves to have her face scratched and will repeatedly dive her face into your hand. She also enjoys having her long hair brushed. Mac, while always the friendlier of the two, likes to play first and foremost. She's good at independent play too, chasing springs around the house. She's not interested in pets while she's playing, but she's keen to climb next to you on the couch at the end of the night for some TV time and pets.

Mac and Cheese have adapted so well to indoor life and are ready to land in their forever home. Just like their foster family, these girls might need a family with patience to allow them to warm up slowly. They need to make sure they're safe before they'll open up. Mac and Cheese are ready to meet adopters who are willing to embark on this journey with them.
