Meet Snowball. Despite her name she’s a solid black cat. The people that originally found her called her that and it just stuck. Snowball came to the rescue at about 3 months of age. At this point in her life she was completely feral. Braving the elements outside with her three sisters who have since been adopted. Now she’s just waiting her turn. 

Socialization with Snowball was tricky. At first she wanted nothing to do with it, but we quickly discovered food was the way to her heart. She didn’t appreciate pets or really anyone even reaching her direction for a long time. Then we started greeting her with churus. Which quickly turned into getting all kinds of pets and purring up a storm while she ate her churus. Now she’s still hesitant and touch can be pretty scary, but we believe with the right person she will blossom into her own personality and ways just like her sisters did. 

Snowball is a young, spirited cat with an abundance of playful energy. Her absolute favorite activity is pouncing on colorful toy springs. She can also occupy her own time by just kicking around a ball or soft toy. She’s very independent when she needs to be, so if you’re working during the day or on vacation she will be just fine. 

This gorgeous kitty takes a bit of time to warm up to new humans and will benefit from a caregiver who can show her that you’re equal parts play partner and safety net. Spending quality playtime with Snowball is not only a ton of fun but also a fantastic way to bond with her. 

Snowball gets along well with other foster cats and particularly loves cuddling up to the resident male cat. She also loves with a dog she doesn’t seem to mind much.
