Meet Shortbread! Shortbread and his siblings   came to us from an unfortunate neglect situation. They were in pretty rough shape when we met them but are feeling great now! Shortbread is about 9 weeks old now and is  thriving in his foster home. He is one of the sweetest kittens his fosters have ever worked with. He is so loving and is the first to great someone new for pets. He loves attention and will be a great lap warmer for his lucky adopter. Shortbread also loves to wrestle, play and snuggle with his littermates. He does very   well with other cats. He has not spent much time with children but is a gentle boy who should adjust well to kids. Dogs would not be a great fit for Shortbread - they could be overwhelming for him since he can't see very well.

Shortbread is partially blind due to the severity of an eye infection that was left untreated in his former home. The infection has now been treated but it left Shortbread with a layer of scar tissue on his eyes. He has limited vision but gets around just fine! Stairs are slower for Shortbread than for other kittens and he'll just need some extra support adjusting to his new home. If he gets lost or stuck in the house, he will sit down and meow until someone comes to save him!

Kittens do best in homes with other cats. The ideal home for Shortbread will be interested in adopting a pair together from this litter or will already have a cat in the home. We will prioritize applications interested in adopting a pair together. The kittens are being fostered in Akron, OH.

The kittens' adoption fee includes: negative test for Feline Leukemia (FELV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccines,       de-worming, topical flea protection and a microchip. Vaccine      boosters will need to be continued with their adopters' vet, and Rabies shots will be due when the kittens are 4-6 months old. The adoption fee for a pair is $150. A single kitten is $100.
