Hi! I am Skeeter - a 40 lb Beagle/Brittany mix who has come a long way since being pulled from the local dog pound. I am 3-5 years old, and though I have become a favorite with everyone here at the rescue, I would really like my own forever home as I have been with the rescue for over 2 years. I was very, very fearful when I first came here, but now I am more than ready to jump into the car and ride to events. Everyone gives me treats at events. I was adopted, but pulled out of my collar and ran and hid. I would not go to anyone, but when Rose pulled up in her truck I ran and jumped in. I am much more fearful of men than women, so am hoping for a female house hold or someone that will dedicate the time to work with me. I would also like a fenced yard as I am shy about doing my business while on a leash. I am quiet and gentle, and get along with kids, other dogs, and even cats, but I am special and only special people need apply.   Love Skeeter

I know you are out there somewhere just waiting for Skeeter to come into your life. Skeeter needs a home so he can understand the loving one on one relationship he can have with a human.
