Ruby is one of Mabel's puppies and like her siblings, we don't really have a clue what her breed is. Mabel is a beagle with a bob-tail, and was rescued from the pound when she was pregnant.
Her foster mom says that Ruby is the biggest of the bunch. She looks like a big brown flufflball or a little bear. She has a bob-tail like her momma and her coat is very thick and plush with dark brown or black in it. She is the laziest of the bunch but also the hungriest. She will eat to her heart's content and her size proves it! She is a chubby butterball and is full of love.
These puppies will be ready to go to their forever families right before Thanksgiving.
If you are considering adopting one of these puppies, it is recommended that they not go to a home where an owner is at work - or not present - for up to 8 - 9 hours each day. The longest they should be left alone is for 3 or 4 hours at a time during the first month or so after being adopted, and even that is a long time during the first few weeks after being weaned. Besides the fact that their bodies are not developed enough to “hold it” when they are this young, leaving them crated or unattended for hours on end will not offer them the love, attention, socialization, exercise, or training that they will need to become the adult dogs you want them to be for their lifetime - and a good part of your lifetime too.
