UPDATE: Shasta has recently completed her cell dog training. During this program she was trained by selected inmates who were overseen by a professional dog trainer. She attended classes to learn more about house training, basic obedience and some fun tricks too! Shasta has now graduated and is ready for her forever home. Could that be you?
Hi, My name is Shasta. I am a 2 1/2 year old lab mix girl who has been tied out on a chain most of my life. After my owner had a stroke it was decide that I was too nice a dog to spend the rest of my life outside so I am coming to the rescue. After going through the Cell Dog program I will be all ready for my new life as an indoor member of a family. I like all people including children and I love to go for walks or rides in the car. I get along with other dogs probably cats too. I am up to date on my shots, heartworm negative and spayed. I am sort of a brownish black color with white on my chest and feet. I am a calm happy girl who just needs some training to become a wonderful companion dog so if you are looking for a new best friend please consider me. I promise you won't be sorry. Love, Shasta
Shasta would do best in a home where there was someone home most of the time. She would like another dog to play with also.
