When we rescued Page from a local pound in May of 2015, she was pretty much feral.  She has come a long way over the ensuing months, but still is very skittish, and will run if approached.  Her progress is slow, but it does continue.  

Page will not be a good candidate for the average person seeking to adopt a family pet.  But if anyone is looking for the rewards of "project" dog and could be committed to her over the long haul, we would consider placing her.  

Page WILL come when called, she is great in a crate and in fact, would do best if one was provided for her so she can have a "safe" place of her own and to keep her out of trouble when unattended.  She will gladly take treats from you, which is a huge asset for training purposes.  Page gets along well with other dogs, and having a friendly, easy-going dog around would be optimal - both to play with and to act as a role model.  She will flee from you if directly approached, (when cornered, she simply freezes so you can pick her up if necessary; she has never growled or snapped) but if you are sitting on the couch or laying in bed, she will come up and snuggle right beside you, and very much enjoy being stroked and petted.  In fact, she may even reward you with a shy kiss or two.  She is housebroken, but may have occasional accidents.  She does best with this when there is structure and routine to a schedule.

We are not overly anxious to find a forever home for Page at the moment, as she is continuing to progress with her socialization (albeit slowly) in her foster home.  However, if the right adopter is out there for her that would be committed to loving her while gently continuing to work with her fears, we would consider placing her at this time.
