Kimmy
Hello, Thought Iâd share an older picture of Gracie. I adopted her in January 2012, her name was Kimmy but I changed it to Gracie the day I brought her home, She was quite stand offish for a while as expected, now she rules, the house , couch , loveseat . the beds and even outside patio furniture. She loves to be covered up at night, so the ritual is âGood night Gracieâ she goes to bed and sits until I put her comforter over her head. She is so loved, and such a sweet girl. I am so thankful she is mine . Thank you for the great work you do saving animals. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this one.
Herman
It's great to hear from you! Herman is doing really well - he has totally become part of our family! He had to go to the Dr. for a UTI around Christmas time, but otherwise he's healthy and full of life! He's got such a sweet, fun personality that he totally wins over everyone he meets, even if he isn't super cuddly! He isn't interested in toys at all, but loves to play games where he can find his kibble! His favorite is when I roll up a few pieces in an old dish towel and he has to unroll it to find the food. He would play that all day long! He still loves car rides, food, naps and walks. He's the greatest little guy, he has really won our hearts!
I can't express enough how much I appreciate Rose's and everything you all did to take care of our little old man until he came to us! You all are absolutely wonderful, and I can't thank you enough!
Murphy - eager to learn
I thought I'd send another update about Murphy: We love this dog!! Murphy-Eager-to-Learn is actually one of the STAR STUDENTS at dog training! (He does need to be restrained from hurling himself full force at the neighboring Great Dane, but still..) He does Sit and Down and Watch Me beautifully, and is even learning Leave It. He sits in class with that whitetipped tail wagging so hard, it looks like a strobe light. The instructors love him. We're working on loose leash walking, which may take awhile, and being calm around other dogs (!!also may take awhile--in the presence of other dogs is when hurricane Murphy roars)--but overall he is doing wonderfully and has really settled around Lucky. Sometimes Hans goes biking with Murphy on leash and this is a big hit, as you can imagine, because he can run almost as fast as he likes, for miles.
Thank you again for all your work to rescue him--it was so worth it. He has such a big heart, and he makes us laugh every day. We adore him.
Here are a couple pics, mostly of Murphy in repose b/c he's a bit of a blur when in motion: Looking smug on Hans' lap, and lying sleepily below my desk in my office, right next to the heater.
Jeremy
Happy Holidays! Just thought you would like to see how Jeremy is doing. He loves being outside on his daily walks and loves car rides too. He has many outfits and has fallen in love with plush toys. He eats well and loves drinking water & even got a pet water fountain for Christmas that he loves! He is such a cuddle bug and we rescued him, but he definitely rescued us! Here's some pictures from over the 6+ months he's been with us. Hope you enjoy them!
