Grover is 9 weeks old and is a coonhound mix (much like his mother).  He was born May 5th.  He is currently 11 lbs, so we are estimating that he will be a medium-large size dog like his mother, who is about 65 lbs.  Being a true coonhound, he loves to run outside and chase small animals (moles, squirrels, chipmunks), but also loves to cuddle up next to you on the couch and just crash when he is tired out.  

He is definitely a people-person.  If he thinks you are not paying close enough attention to him, he will howl and bark.  He does not like to be alone.  He enjoys the company of other people, children and other dogs.  He would do best in an active family with other dogs, if possible, and also a large fenced in yard.  Additional walks and runs when he gets a little older would also benefit him.  

He can not be left alone for too long each day, as he is quite young still.  We are working on his housebreaking and so far, he is doing pretty good.  He is currently living with a foster family who has 7 young children and quite a few dogs, and he gets along great with all of them.  Grover has beautiful black and white markings and a lovely tan face.  He reminds us of the puppy in the childrens' book "The Poky Little Puppy"!  He is truly a lover dog, and wants nothing more than to be the center of attention and the apple of someone's eye.
