HAPPY TAILS!

We love hearing updates about our former rescues from their forever families.  If you have adopted a pet from Rose's Rescue and would like to submit his or her story for our Happy Tails page, please send it to rosesrescuepets@gmail.com, put Happy Tails in the subject line, and don't forget to include a picture!

Rocky (now Frank) with his fur siblings

Kingston

Were so in love! Waylon fits right in with our crew of 7. He is a super loving dog. He has been a perfect fit. I am so glad I came across him on your page. I have attached some photos. Thank you all very much.

Penelope

Everything is going well. Penelope gets along well with my dog, and she's been going to my daughter's house (age 24, works from home) when I'm going to be away from home for too long or my dog, Dixie, goes to school with me.  As a result, she's becoming much more confident and is better able to manage her separation anxiety. We did start her on cbd oil & she wears a thundershirt.    We go to the park on Sunday afternoons for a long hike, and regular walks 2x a day with Dixie.    To date: no seizures, no "bladder" issues, no diarrhea. She is off the special food and doing well. The burn mark on her chest from the shock collar is healed, though she will probably always have a bald spot.    Here's a pic of Penelope at her auntie's house, waiting for mom to come pick her up with her kitty "cousin".  Before too long I will feel comfortable leaving her home for longer periods. Having 2 weeks off at the beginning really made a difference -- she's a smart dog and will catch on to the routine quickly.

Zoey the Chiweenie

Zoey is doing great and she is a very loved addition to our family. You all do amazing work and we are very grateful! I included some pictures of Zoey and our family - her new best friend is our mini rat terrier, Archie and her humans are Sechylle (8) and Louie (5)!

Princess-Looking for a quiet home

Good morning Linda.  Thank you so much for reaching out to me.      Sophie, aka Princess, is amazing. There has not been one minute since we got her that we have regretted asking for her.  She is a perfect fit for my husband, Kevin and me. She is the most loveable pet that anyone could ask for.      A lot of times, as I'm sure you know, when you adopt a new pet, they have "accidents" due to stress. That never happened with "our girl" (despite being a senior).    When we adopted her, we knew that our almost 13 year old cat, Callie (also a rescue), had lung cancer. We couldn't have picked a better time to adopt Sophie.  Sadly, we lost Callie 3 weeks ago. She was very special to us and Sophie has softened the pain, just a little.    When we got Sophie, she was quiet and reserved. Now, just a month later, she is full of energy, asks for belly rubs, plays hard, and talks to us (a trick "daddy" taught her to do when she gets excited!)     We want to thank all of you at Rose's Rescue for caring for "our girl" until we found you. We cannot imagine our home without Sophie.
