Penelope
Everything is going well. Penelope gets along well with my dog, and she's been going to my daughter's house (age 24, works from home) when I'm going to be away from home for too long or my dog, Dixie, goes to school with me. As a result, she's becoming much more confident and is better able to manage her separation anxiety. We did start her on cbd oil & she wears a thundershirt.Â
Â
We go to the park on Sunday afternoons for a long hike, and regular walks 2x a day with Dixie.Â
Â
To date: no seizures, no "bladder" issues, no diarrhea. She is off the special food and doing well. The burn mark on her chest from the shock collar is healed, though she will probably always have a bald spot.Â
Â
Here's a pic of Penelope at her auntie's house, waiting for mom to come pick her up with her kitty "cousin". Before too long I will feel comfortable leaving her home for longer periods. Having 2 weeks off at the beginning really made a difference -- she's a smart dog and will catch on to the routine quickly.Â
