Lydia

Mudd and Lydia. Soul mates. We adopted Mudd three years ago. He had a bit of trouble staying home alone at first. He loved to pile presents near the front door so we'd be sure to see them as soon as we got home. He'd gather pillows, shoes, hats, dishes - whatever he could find. Dad decided to take him to work at the music store until he was able to overcome his separation anxiety. He's a doll now. Stays home with no trouble at all. Being a cell dog, he came to us very well trained. Since then we've learned to shake (both hands) and roll over. He is very smart. He's learned to fetch and loves to chase the squirrels in the back yard. He runs super fast and almost caught one the other day. We adopted Lydia just a few months ago. She and I bonded instantly. She's a wonderful girl who had rough start. Mother of 9 puppies and complications after being spayed - but all that is behind her. She's the one being babied now. And Mudd adores her, too. She loves to run the perimeter of the yard with Mudd. We call her "The Bullet" because she keeps up with him despite being half his size. She likes playing tug and is learning to chase the balls we throw. We also discovered she loves to unravel skeins of yarn so those stay safely locked away when we're not home. We've been lucky to provide forever homes to such wonderful rescues. They care for us just as much as we care for them. Maybe even more. It's great to be a dog's person!
